Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I feel like people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
