Sir Keir Starmer will push supporting countries to provide Ukraine with further advanced missile systems to strike Moscow's positions during talks in the UK capital on the upcoming Friday.

Britain's leader is set to welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky alongside what's known as "coalition of the willing", comprising over twenty of Kyiv's partners who have agreed to provide Ukraine security guarantees once hostilities pause is brokered.

Ukraine's president has been pleading for an extended period for additional long-range weapons from allied countries, an action that Moscow has cautions would escalate the war.

Ukraine's leader is travelling from Belgium, where he held talks with European representatives on Thursday requesting funding aid.

"The sole individual engaged in this conflict who refuses to halt the fighting is Vladimir Putin," Sir Keir said.

Sir Keir will also reveal that 100 additional air defence missiles will be supplied to Kyiv earlier than planned, as detailed in a £1.6bn deal reached between Britain and the Ukrainian government in March.

Diplomatic Momentum

Ukraine's leader travels after two diplomatic wins recently: the US President's move to finally apply further sanctions against Moscow, and the European Union consenting to finance a Ukrainian budget hole.

Britain's leader is aiming to sustain the progress by escalating the leverage on Russia to discuss an end to the war.

The Prime Minister will urge leaders to expand the supply of long-range weapons following a productive attack on an industrial facility in Bryansk, Russia, using British-supplied missile systems.

"Furthermore, his depraved assaults on young children in a daycare recently demonstrate that abundantly clear," he continued.

A pair of children were included in no fewer than seven fatally wounded in multiple Moscow's attacks on the country, which hit a daycare center in the important metropolitan area Ukraine's second city.

Financial Discussions

The Prime Minister will discuss with Western allies on approaches for withdraw Moscow's energy exports out of worldwide commerce.

The participants will also discuss utilizing blocked Russian resources to supply Kyiv with monetary support, although the proposal experienced divided opinions and regulatory obstacles at the EU conference on Thursday.

The EU declined to agreeing an initiative to employ up to €140bn in blocked Moscow funds to monetarily assist Kyiv's finances.

However, the participants agreed to assist with the country's "financial needs" for the coming 24 months.

United States also disclosed restrictions on recently against the Russian biggest petroleum firms, Rosneft Oil and the private firm, as element of actions to increase economic pressure on Russia to commence ceasefire negotiations.

The Russian government launched its major offensive of the country in February 2022. Russian troops currently holds about 20% of Ukrainian territory, comprising the Crimean peninsula the Russian government took control of in several years ago.
