Vinted Shoppers Voice Anger Regarding Size Updates
Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to listings displaying inaccurate size information.
The popular resale platform has altered its measurement guidelines for female and kids' apparel but did not contact all shoppers about the modification.

Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed as a result of the reclassification.
Vinted explained the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
It has advised users to review their products and update the measurements by hand when needed, causing user dissatisfaction.
Size Classification Updates
Previously, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, like S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features an alphabetical indicator and numerical range such as S/UK 8-10.
In some cases, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was previously a 12 but now shows as UK 16-18.
User Accounts
Frankie Bridger, who produces content about larger sizing, stated the update "complicates both purchasing and selling".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, explained products she uploaded on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22.
"If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she said.
Manual Updates
A different user, located in England, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the sizing for "all her products".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential after experiencing income reduction," she explained.
Platform Context
The app has more than 100 million users, with 18 million British users.
It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This represents another occasion that an unexpected update to the app has proved unpopular: last year, the platform withdrew an update to its shipping options following member complaints.
